DREAM at Kalamazoo College

Disability Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring

Is a student-run organization, the local chapter of the national DREAM organization, works to aid our community at Kalamazoo College. They defend and provide a safe space for students with disabilities and hosts other events.

Kalamazoo College Learning Commons

For scholastic and learning aid

Located in the Kalamazoo College Upjohn Library, Learning Commons helps students with research, the sciences, individuals who speak English as a second language, or any other project or assignment students need assistance in for learning. This resource can aid students with disabilities in understanding subject matter, helping them to succeed in their classes.

This is the official Kalamazoo College website regarding accessibility and accommodations at K. It contains information about the campus’ accessibility, forms and procedure of applying for accommodations, and it contains information about filing a grievance. It also contains additional resources for students and faculty.

Through Facilities Management, students with disabilities are able to request accomidations for their differences. Useful information for student accomidations are given on this website.

AHEAD

Advancing Higher Education for All Disabled Students

Although AHEAD is a national organization and not offered through Kalamazoo College, their goal is to inform members of emerging issues relevant to disability and higher education in the legislative and regulatory spheres and serves as a professional membership association for individuals committed to equity for persons with disabilities in higher education.
